Gratitude is a pillar of living life for me. I keep a gratitude journal with entries of all the things that I am grateful for. Even the minuscule things such as air, water, food and shelter. I have glaucoma so I am constantly grateful for my eyesight. I was born partially deaf so I am grateful for my hearing, each and every day.
What finds you grateful? Sometimes it’s a look from my dog or cat or even the most subtle text message from a friend or my honey. Words can carry the day. Yes, actions speak louder than words but sometimes if you welcome those words in the form of an action (they typed it and hit send), then you can be grateful for that.
Be grateful for things. My only note comes from a lovely lady named Claudia Altucher. She’s a beautiful spiritual soul that writes a yoga blog. She states write “I am grateful for air now”. Adding the word “now” puts the gratitude in the present moment.
